Police Record Checks And Rights-Respecting Hiring: A guide for businesses and not-for-profit organizations

This resource produced by the Canadian Civil Liberties Association aims to give employers information on how to respect the rights of prospective employees when asking for police record checks. It also gives general information about the record check process, and encourages employers to reconsider checking if not otherwise required by law to do so. It is included here to provide context for Hotline workers who may wish to advocate with employers in this regard.
